Recently, a new bacterial disease was detected on cucumber stalks. In order to study the pathogenesis of this disease, the pathogenic bacteria were isolated and identified on the basis of morphological and molecular characteristics, and further analyzed for pathogenicity and antagonistic evaluation. Pathogenicity analysis showed that HlJ-3 caused melting decay and cracking in cucumber stems, and the strain reisolated from re-infected cucumber stalks was morphologically identical to HlJ-3 colonies, which is consistent with the Koch's postulates.

Introduction: The unique natural and social environments of East Asia may shape the characteristics of fungal skin diseases. However, there is a notable absence of thorough comparative analyses on this subject.

Methods: This research undertook a comprehensive analysis of the epidemiology and disease burden of fungal dermatoses across five East Asian countries (China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Mongolia) via the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) database from 1990 to 2021.

Introduction: This meta-analysis examined the relationship between age-related hearing loss (ARHL) and depression in older adults, and further explored whether this relationship is moderated by age and gender.

Methods: We searched in 4 English databases: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library. Ultimately, we identified 9 studies, involving 3 cohort studies and 6 cross-sectional studies.

We assessed the real-world particulate emissions of a goods movement diesel vehicle, with an emphasis on total particle number and solid particle number emissions at different cutoff sizes. The vehicle was tested on routes in the South Coast Air Basin (SCAB) of California, representative of typical goods movement operation between the ports to warehouses and logistic centers with a mixture of urban and highway driving, as well as elevation change. We evaluated emissions during normal vehicle operation and diesel particulate filter (DPF) active regeneration events.

Background: To investigate the joint associations between various body fat distribution parameters and high blood pressure (HBP) using the Bayesian Kernel Machine Regression (BKMR) model in school-aged children.

Methods: A diverse sample of 7 ∼ 17 years old (N = 1423; 50.25% boys) was recruited for this study.
