Background: Point prevalence survey on antibiotic use developed by WHO are already in use in acute care hospitals around the world. The aim of this study was to collect prescribing of antibiotics using Point prevalence survey method in KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital.
Methods: This was a cross sectional descriptive study and data collection was completed within 8 working days in the study site.

Background: Sickle cell anemia is an inherited blood disorder caused due to a point mutation at the sixth codon of the ?-globin gene of both alleles. Sickle cell traits occur when the mutation is in one of the two alleles of the ?-globin genes. This study was carried out in the Tharu community, which is an indigenous and minority group mostly residing in the Terai region of Nepal.

There is an urgent need to measure the knowledge of the disease among health science students who can play an active role in pandemic control. The research was conducted to examine COVID-19 knowledge among medical and dental students in a Nepalese medical college, compare the knowledge to other studies in the literature and identify educational needs of students who may be involved in treating COVID-19 patients.

Introduction: Hysterectomy is the most common gynecological procedure. Over the last decade, the minimally invasive approach has been practiced more frequently. Fibroid uterus being the most common indication for hysterectomy justifies this minimal approach, however, whenever feasible, vaginal hysterectomy can be the preferred route.
