Anterior shoulder instability with glenoid bone lesion can be treated with the Eden-Hybinette procedure utilizing a tricortical iliac crest bone graft or the Latarjet procedure. This study aimed to evaluate the glenohumeral joint (GHJ) kinematics throughout an external shoulder rotation following the Eden-Hybinette and Latarjet procedures. Aims: The aim of this study was to evaluate the kinematics of the elbow following increasing length of the radius with implantation of radial head arthroplasties (RHAs) using dynamic radiostereometry (dRSA).

Methods: Eight human donor arms were examined by dRSA during motor-controlled flexion and extension of the elbow with the forearm in an unloaded neutral position, and in pronation and supination with and without a 10 N valgus or varus load, respectively. The elbows were examined before and after RHA with stem lengths of anatomical size, + 2 mm, and + 4 mm.

Background: The aim of this prospective study was to investigate bone mineral density (BMD) changes in the proximal humerus of the shoulder during a healing period of 12 months after displaced 3- or 4-part proximal humerus fractures treated with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with an anatomic angular stable locking plate and the influence on fracture healing and functional outcomes.

Methods: In a prospective multicenter study, 36 patients (29F and 7M, age range: 38-83) with unilateral displaced 3- or 4-part proximal humerus fractures were included for ORIF. Dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry for osteoporosis status was employed.
