The induction of adipose thermogenesis plays a critical role in maintaining body temperature and improving metabolic homeostasis to combat obesity. β3-adrenoceptor (β3-AR) is widely recognized as a canonical β-adrenergic G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that plays a crucial role in mediating adipose thermogenesis in mice. Nonetheless, the limited expression of β3-AR in human adipocytes restricts its clinical application.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) is a lethal malignancy characterized by insidious onset and lack of effective therapy. The molecular pathogenesis of PDA remains to be understood fully. Transcriptional factor GATA6 is an important transcriptional regulator in normal pancreas development, particularly in the initial specification and differentiation of the pancreas.

Islet transplantation is a promising therapy for diabetes, yet the limited survival and functionality of transplanted islet grafts hinder optimal outcomes. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), an endogenous hormone, has shown potential to enhance islet survival and function; however, its systemic administration can result in poor localization and undesirable side effects. To address these challenges, we developed a novel peptide-based nanofiber hydrogel incorporating GLP-1 functionality for localized delivery.

Creating densely functionalized supported materials without aggregation has been one of the ultimate goals for heterogeneous catalysts. Direct conversion of readily available bulk materials into highly dispersed supported materials could be highly beneficial for real applications. In this work, we invented an on-surface synthetic strategy for generating highly loaded and well-dispersed nickel nanoparticles on nickel oxide supports (Ni/NiO).

Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the association of serum soluble IL-2 receptor α (sIL-2RA) with T2DM-related characteristics and complications.

Methods: Serum sIL-2RA levels were determined in 156 T2DM patients, and the association with T2DM-related characteristics and complications was evaluated.

Results: Serum sIL-2RA levels were significantly increased in T2DM patients with diabetic kidney disease (DKD) (median, IQR, 1434.
