[Toxicological evaluation of biopreparations on the basis of nitrogen-fixing bacteria].

A comparative analysis of results of toxicological research of microbiological preparations on the basis of different species of nitrogen-fixing microorganisms of Azotobacter, Agrobacterium, Azospirillum general and pathogenic properties of strains-producers has been carried out. A possibility to improve methodical principles of toxicological estimation and hygienic regulation of associative nitrogen-fixing microorganisms-producers and preparations on their basis in the industrial objects and environment is substantiated. The paper is presented in Ukrainian.

[Investigation of the safety of microbial biotechnological products and their hygienic regulation].

Peculiarities of influence of microbial preparations based on microorganisms of different taxonomic groups on the warm-blooded organisms are considered, that is necessary to take into account when developing the strategy of toxico-hygienic studying of these preparations and when substanting hygienic standards in industrial objects and in the environment. The possibility to simplify the methodical scheme of the toxicological estimation and the hygienic regulation of microbial preparations on the basis of soil nitrogen-fixing microorganisms is discussed.

[Effect of different storage methods on the viability of Halobacterium salinarum].

It has been established that the studied halobacteria are cryolabile and sensitive to the sharp change in osmotic pressure of the environment. Optimal temperature of their storage is +20 degrees C for suspension of native cells and +4 degrees C for the cells in anabiotic state. Their storage medium should have optimal osmotic pressure and contain NaCl and K+, Mg+ ions.

[Deposition of microorganisms at patenting the invention and results for the inventor].

The standards of the patent legislation of Ukraine and other countries concerning the deposition of microorganisms at patenting of the invention and conditions for the availability of the deposited samples have been considered. The questions connected to practice of strains deposition in Ukraine which require the normative decision or specification in view of the tendency of development of patent legislation in the countries advanced in the sphere of the industrial property have been outlined.

[The creation and functions of the Depository of Microorganism Strains in the Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine].

The legislative and other standard acts regulating the functioning of the home depositories and the procedure of microorganism strains deposition when patenting the inventions in Ukraine have been developed and came in force. The depository created on the basis of the Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to deposit nonpathogenic strains of microorganisms and to execute a number of service works in the field of microbiology and biotechnology began its activities (investigation, identification, certification, preservation of cultures, development of the methods of long-term preservation, toxico-biological evaluation of producers, delivery of strains, consultations, obtaining of information materials).
