Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH)/Masson's pseudoangiosarcoma is a rare (orphan) disease of the forefoot that has not yet been described in Europe. The pathoanatomic examination of a young patient with a vague interdigital space-consuming lesion revealed a intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia/Masson's pseudoangiosarcoma. The intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia can be mainly detected in the upper limbs as well as cervically.

The aim of this study was to investigate in an in vitro study the effects of bone morphogenetic protein 7 (BMP-7) on tendon-bone integration.
Materials And Methods: To study the biological effects of BMP-7 on the process of tendon-bone-integration, two independent in vitro models were used.

Background: Because of a lack of evidence, the appropriate timing of surgical stabilization of thoracic and lumbar spine injuries in severely injured patients is still controversial. Data of a large international trauma register were analyzed to investigate the medical care situation of unstable spinal column fractures in patients with multiple injuries, so as to examine the outcome related to timing of surgical stabilization.
Methods: Data sets of the Trauma Registry of German Trauma Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Unfallchirurgie [DGU]) (1993-2010) were analyzed.
Spinal manipulation usually represents a widely used and effective method for physicians in order to relieve acute patient pain and muscular dysbalance. Although life-threatening complications (e.g.
