Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a deadly pulmonary disease with impaired immunological response that causes significant tissue damage and organ failure. Postmortem examination of the lung is a useful tool for understanding the immunopathogenesis of this virus. Lung autopsy samples from seven dead SARS-CoV-2 patients were obtained and evaluated using hematoxylin and eosin stain to analyze the histopathological changes in those samples, on the other hand, Immunohistochemical (IHC) staining was used for detection of CD21, CD1a, CR1 (CD35), CD68, Myeloperoxidase (MPO), CD15, CD56, CD3, CD20, CD4, and CD8 cells markers.

The interaction between two surfaces leads to the generation of friction and wear of material. Friction and wear are some of the major challenges that may readily be overcome by the third part of tribology called lubrication. Utilizing solid lubricants including polymers, carbon-based materials, soft metals, transition metal dichalcogenides, along with their potential benefits and drawbacks in dry environments can reduce friction.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOsteopontin (OPN) is a multifunctional matrix glycoprotein with neuroprotective and immunomodulatory properties. This study explored the potential of OPN-loaded acellular nerve allografts (ANAs) to repair sciatic nerves in male Wistar rats. The research also delved into the impact of OPN on macrophage phenotypes.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA novel family of multifunctional nanomaterials called MXenes is quickly evolving, and it has potential applications that are comparable to those of graphene. This article provides a current explanation of the design and performance assessment of MXene-based membranes. The production of MXenes nanosheets are first described, with an emphasis on exfoliation, dispersion stability, and processability, which are essential elements for membrane construction.
