Objective: To identify 1) complicated grief symptom clusters among acutely-bereaved older adults who have lost a spouse to COVID-19 and 2) if spousal death due to COVID-19 increased risk of developing probable PGD METHODS: Eighty adults participating in a randomized controlled trial for depression prevention (mean age [± SD] = 70.4 [6.6]) completed the Inventory of Complicated Grief, every 3 months over a maximum of 15 months.

The commercialization of fruits in markets generates a large amount of waste because they are perishable and have a short shelf life, so, they are discarded. This study aimed to provide a noble end to discarded fruits that have fermentable sugars. Banana, apple, mango and papaya residues were collected from supermarkets and underwent an enzymatic hydrolysis process.

Single implant placement in the maxillary aesthetic area with or without connective tissue grafting: A 1-year follow-up randomised clinical trial.

Purpose: To evaluate the influence of connective tissue graft on the soft tissue thickness and aesthetics around single implants placed in the aesthetic zone of the maxilla.

Materials And Methods: Forty-two patients with indications for single implant placement in the aesthetic zone were randomly allocated into two groups: the implant group (implant insertion) and the implant + connective tissue graft group (implant insertion and placement of a 1.50-mm-thick connective tissue graft).

Introduction: The pathogenesis of consumptive syndrome of tuberculosis (TB) is largely unknown. Leptin concentrations may be high because of the host's inflammatory response, contributing to weight loss in patients with TB. The receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) is also associated with weight loss in patients with TB and is related to enhanced mortality.

Moral distress in correctional nurses: A national survey.

Background: Moral distress is an increasingly documented problem in nursing and might foster nurses' intention to leave their workplace. It has been studied in different settings, but no specific research has been conducted in Italian correctional facilities. A recent Italian study produced a preliminary validation of the Moral Distress Scale for Correctional Nurses, which needs to be completed.
