Objective: Serum uric acid (SUA) may play positive roles in diseases associated with oxidative stress, such as osteoporosis (OP). Nevertheless, the specific impact of SUA levels on both bone mineral density (BMD) and the risk of OP remains uncertain. Considering such information crucial for clinicians when making decisions about urate-lowering therapy (ULT), we sought to fill this gap by conducting dose-response meta-analyses.

Neuroblastoma is the most prevalent extracranial solid tumor among children and exhibits remarkable heterogeneity. The methylation of cytosine to form 5-methylcytosine (m5C) is the primary type of modification found in DNA and RNA. The NOL1/NOP2/sun (NSUN) family, specifically NSUN1, is responsible for the methylation process and has been shown to play a key role in cell differentiation and cancer development.

Objectives: To evaluate the multifunctionality of silver-copper co-loaded mesoporous bioactive glass (MBG), with the goal of developing an advanced pulp-capping material.

Methods: The synthesis of materials was conducted using the sol-gel method, following the approach described in previous studies but with some modifications. The composition included 80 mol% SiO₂, 15 mol% CaO, and 5 mol% P₂O₅, with additional components of 5 mol% silver, 5 mol% copper, or 1 mol% silver combined with 4 mol% copper, designated as Ag5/80S, Cu5/80S, or Ag1Cu4/80S, respectively.

Background: The STAR staging standard has been demonstrated to have good performance in distinguishing mortality among patients at different stages. However, the effectiveness of STAR and GOLD staging in distinguishing disease severity in high-risk and COPD patients remained unclear.

Methods: Based on Enjoying Breathing Program data through June 2023, a total of 7.

Cellular senescence plays a critical role in repeated ultraviolet (UV) exposure-induced skin photoaging. Currently, from the perspective of regulating senescent cells, potent compounds or reliable protein targets that could effectively prevent skin photoaging have not yet been reported. Herein, we demonstrated that chlorogenic acid (CGA) significantly inhibited UVA-induced senescence of human dermis skin fibroblasts (HDF) cells by screening the natural product library.
