Copper substituted strontium ferrite nano spinels were synthesized by facile chemical coprecipitation method. Structural properties of all the nano materials were examined using Powder X-ray Diffraction of size ranging 22-50 nm and High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy which further revealed the formation of hexagonal spinel structure. The analysis of FT-IR spectra of all the samples confirmed the formation of M-O bond with spinel structure having characteristic peaks at 422 cm and 586 cm.

Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on synthesizing Magnesium substituted Cerium Ferrite Perovskites (CeMgFeO) using the citric acid-sol gel method and examines their properties across a range of magnesium substitutions (0 to 1).
  • Various characterization techniques like X-Ray diffraction and spectroscopy were used to analyze the structural, magnetic, and optical traits of the synthesized materials.
  • Results indicate that CeMgFeO perovskites exhibit exceptional dye degradation (99%) as a photo-Fenton catalyst and possess semiconductor properties with a narrow bandgap and weak ferromagnetism, outperforming standard oxides like CeFeO₃ and CeMgO₃.
