[Effect of hemodex on the phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophages in vitro].

The author examined the influence of hemodex (SMT 70 000), high molecular and mean molecular fractions of the same on the phagocytic activity in vitro. The experiments were carried out on macrophages of white mice "Swiss", treated with the preparations for one to ten days. She found that VMF and hemodex after a five-day treatment induced an increase of the phagocytic activity in respect to sheep erythrocytes in comparison with the control group.

[Hexobarbital sleep in rats treated with polyvinylpyrrolidone].

Young male rats, breed Wistar, underwent daily intravenous injections with 10 ml per kilogram body weight polyvinyl pyrrolidone, over a period of five days. As a control group, non injected rats of the same age were used. The duration of sleep after interaperitoneal injection of hexobarbital natrium at dose 100 mg/kg weight was checked in both groups.
