Turoctocog alfa pegol (N8-GP) is a glycoPEGylated human recombinant factor VIII for the treatment of hemophilia A. The safety profile of rFVIII, and polyethylene glycols (PEG) technology, is well-established. Conducting long-term toxicity studies in animals using human proteins can be complicated by anti-drug antibody (ADA) development.

It binds calcium dependently to iC3b, a product of the complement component C3 deposited on cell surfaces, immune complexes or artificial surfaces after complement activation. We here present a simple and efficient two-step procedure for the purification of conglutinin.

This oligomeric pattern-recognition protein effectively binds to the glycoconjugate arrays present on the surfaces of microorganisms and activates the complement system to enhance pathogen killing and clearance. MBL deficiency is often associated with immunodeficiency in humans.

CL-43 is a serum collectin involved in the innate immunity of cattle and variability of serum CL-43 may relate to disease in cows. A high capacity time-resolved immunofluorometric assay (TRIFMA) for the bovine collectin-43 (CL-43) was developed. The TRIFMA was constructed as a noncompetitive sandwich based on polyclonal antibodies and a novel monoclonal antibody (mab) raised against CL-43 and was set up to run on an automatic analyser designed for the TRIFMA detection system.

The TRIFMA was constructed as a non-competitive sandwich assay based on polyclonal antibodies as the capture reagent and a novel monoclonal antibody raised against conglutinin as the detection reagent and was set up to run on an automatic analyzer designed for the TRIFMA detection system. Polyclonal antibodies immobilized on microtiter plate wells were incubated overnight at 4 degrees C with diluted plasma samples, including quality controls (QC) and dilutions of a plasma with known conglutinin concentration.
