A description of the successful surgical treatment of a patient with irreversible changes in both ureters and bladder resulting from a severe form of Ormond's disease and interstitial cystitis, resulting in contracted bladder, is presented. For the first time in clinical practice, a one-stage cystectomy, a bilateral ureterectomy with complete replacement of both ureters and the bladder with two isoperistaltic small bowel segment was performed. The postoperative course was uneventful.
