Peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF) is a benign localized lesion originating from gingival and alveolar oral mucosa. Its origin can be cells of periodontal ligament. The lesions usually develop in women in their twenties.

Symmetrical Fibrous Hyperplasia of the Palate.

Bilateral symmetrical fibrous palate hyperplasia is not a common case in the literature. The cause of this pathological change is not completely known. The development of hyperplasia may also be associated with a genetic mutation in the gingival soft tissue or gingival injury.

Incidence of Dentinal Microcracks during Root Canal Preparation with Self Adjusting File, Reciproc Blue and ProTaper Next.

Introduction: Forces formed during root canal instrumentation could cause the crack formation in dentinal walls. Their propagation may result in vertical root fracture and eventually tooth loss. The aim of the study was to explore microcrack formation after root canal preparation with Self-adjusting File (SAF), Reciproc Blue (RB), and ProTaper Next (PTN) instruments on young premolars by means of micro-computed tomography (micro CT).

Gender Differences in Dental Anxiety and Medical Fear in Croatian Adolescents.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to differentiate anxious from nonanxious adolescents and evaluate gender differences in anxiety with respect to previous negative dental and medical experiences. The purpose was also to evaluate a causative relationship between child medical fear and dental anxiety.

Study Design: This study sampled 113 Croatian adolescents from 15 to18 years of age.
