Medical images are providing vital information to aid physicians in diagnosing a disease afflicting the organ of a human body. Magnetic resonance imaging is an important imaging modality in capturing the soft tissues of the brain. Segmenting and extracting the brain is essential in studying the structure and pathological condition of brain.

Article Synopsis
  • - Fatty liver disease is linked to low levels of glutathione (GSH) in liver cells, leading to increased oxidative stress and disease progression.
  • - In a study, mice treated with a GSH inhibitor and given a cholesterol-rich diet developed fatty liver, resulting in reduced GSH levels and increased cholesterol accumulation.
  • - Administering GSH ester helped restore GSH levels, improved antioxidant responses, and reduced inflammation and fatty changes in the liver, suggesting it could delay fatty liver disease progression.

Halophytic plants can tolerate a high level of salinity through several morphological and physiological adaptations along with the presence of salt tolerant rhizo-microbiome. These microbes release phytohormones which aid in alleviating salinity stress and improve nutrient availability. The isolation and identification of such halophilic PGPRs can be useful in developing bio-inoculants for improving the salt tolerance and productivity of non-halophytic plants under saline conditions.

Maize is an important cereal crop which is severely affected by . The study aims to identify endophytic bacteria of maize root and leaf apoplastic fluid with bioprotective traits against and plant growth promoting properties. Among 15 bacterial endophytic isolates, two strains-namely, RAF5 and LAF5-were selected and identified as sp.

Drought is a major constraint throughout the world, and it creates a major yield loss by changing the plant metabolic process. However, the negative effects of drought on plant growth and development were alleviated by using plant growth-promoting bacteria. With these backgrounds, the study was conducted to identify the drought-tolerant endophytic bacteria and to know their plant growth promotion (PGP) effect on sorghum plants under drought conditions.
