An organophotocatalyzed approach for the chemoselective dealkylation of phenols is developed. This method demonstrates exceptional selectivity toward the cleavage of phenolic ethers over equivalent aliphatic ethers and alkyl benzoates, presenting a broad range of functional group sustainability.
