Risk factors and outcomes of deep tissue Candida invasion in neonates with invasive candidiasis.

Background: Deep tissue Candida invasion represents a special entity among neonates with invasive candidiasis. We aimed to explore the risk factors and clinical outcomes for deep tissue Candida invasion among neonates with invasive candidiasis.

Methods: A retrospective data review of neonates admitted to NICU of Madinah maternity and children hospital, KSA from January 2012 to December 2019 was done.

Urocaridella arabianensis n. sp., a new Palaemonid shrimp (Crustacea, Decapoda, Palaemonidae) from Lakshadweep Islands, India with taxonomic comparison on the genus Urocaridella Borradaile, 1915.

A new species of the genus Urocaridella Borradaile, 1915, Urocaridella arabianensis n. sp. is described and illustrated based on fifty-five specimens collected from the reef regions of Agatti Island, Lakshadweep, Arabian Sea.

The relation of low birth weight to psychosocial stress and maternal anthropometric measurements.

Objectives: To determine the relationship between low birth weight and psychological stress during pregnancy, as well as anthropometric measurements of Saudi mothers.

Methods: A total of 500 Saudi women were selected, according to weight and gestation age of their new born infants, one control was selected per one case (their weight less than 2500 grams). Data was collected from El-Shamasy Maternal and Child Hospital at Riyadh city.
