Chinese yam polysaccharide induces the differentiation and natural antibody secretion of IgM B cells to prevent Aeromonas hydrophila infection in grass carp.

Chinese yam polysaccharide (CYP) is an effective immunostimulant, however, its efficacy in grass carp, an important commercial fish species in Asia, remains untested. Here, our study evaluated the immunostimulatory effects of CYP on IgM B cells in vitro and on humoral immunity and immune defense against Aeromonas hydrophila infection in vivo. In vitro stimulation experiments showed that CYP could induce the secretion of IgM antibodies, because it could stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of head kidney IgM B cells.

Isolation and Evaluation of Strains from Traditional Rice Wine Starters (): Enzyme Activities, Antioxidant Capacity, and Flavour Compounds.

Seventy-eight autochthonous strains of were isolated from rice wine starter samples across twenty-nine regions in China to evaluate their potential in traditional rice wine fermentation. Strains were assessed for enzyme activity, antioxidant properties, amino acid production, and volatile flavour compounds. Significant variation in enzyme activities was observed, with acidic protease activity ranging from 280 to 1023 U/g, amylase from 557 to 1681 U/g, and esterase from 370 to 2949 U/g.

Here, we present DTNE (diffusive topology neighbor embedding), a dimensionality reduction framework that faithfully approximates manifold distance to enhance cellular relationships and dynamics.
