Unlabelled: Accurate estimation of the Lung Shunt Fraction (LSF) is a standard of care in yttrium-90 ( Y) radioembolization treatment planning to prevent excessive lung irradiation due to arterio-venous shunting in the liver. LSF is assessed using Tc macroaggregated albumin ( Tc-MAA) imaging, but this approach adds risk, complexity, and expense to the treatment planning. This study investigates the potential of Contrast-Enhanced Computed Tomography (CECT) as a non-invasive alternative for LSF estimation.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAcute dyspnea is a common symptom whose management is challenging in prehospital settings. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is increasingly accessible because of device miniaturization. To assess the contribution of POCUS in the prehospital management of patients with acute nontraumatic dyspnea, we performed a systematic review on nontrauma patients of any age managed in the prehospital setting for acute dyspnea and receiving a POCUS examination.

This study aims to describe and analyze the use of advance directives (ADs) in CPR by emergency physicians (EPs).
Methods: A qualitative approach using semi-directed interviews was conducted.

Purpose: Evaluate the safety and efficacy of an eco-friendly permanent agar-agar-based embolization agent (ABEA) (EmboBio®) for intra-arterial use.
Materials And Methods: Six pigs embolized with one ABEA torpedo (6 lower polar renal and 6 lumbar arteries) and one coil (6 lower polar renal and 6 lumbar arteries). Technical success was defined as a complete occlusion with no residual flow in DSA.
