Background: 40% of children with retinoblastoma have an RB1 gene mutation identified, known as heritable retinoblastoma. It is important to undertake active surveillance (screening) of relatives of those with identified RB1 gene mutations and ensure ongoing surveillance to monitor for new tumour formation or recurrences. Current guidance is to screen patients up to the age of 7 years old.

Co-designed with key stakeholders, 'Early versus Late Stopping of Antibiotics in high-risk FN' (ELSA-FN) is a randomised controlled, non-inferiority trial that compares stopping antibiotics in clinically stable patients after 48 hours with the current standard of care, continuing antibiotics until absolute neutrophil recovery. As an Australian first, we will exploit the potential of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, embedding all key aspects of the trial including screening, consent, randomisation and data collection into standard clinical and EMR workflows.

We present a retrospective analysis of 78 patients from 19 hospitals across Australia and New Zealand, treated over the last 15 years with "off-the-shelf" allogeneic T cells directed to a combination of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), cytomegalovirus (CMV), BK polyomavirus (BKV), John Cunningham virus (JCV) and/or adenovirus (AdV) under the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration's Special Access Scheme. Most patients had severe post-transplant viral complications, including drug-resistant end-organ CMV disease, BKV-associated haemorrhagic cystitis and EBV-driven post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder.
