[239Pu and chromosomal aberrations in human peripheral blood lymphocytes].

The genome status in somatic cells was assessed using the chromosomal aberration (CA) test in peripheral blood lymphocytes from 194 plutonium workers exposed to occupational radiation mainly from low-transportable compounds of airborne 230Pu. Pu body burden at the time of cytogenetic study varied from values close to the method sensitivity to values multiply exceeding the permissible level. Standard (routine) methods of peripheral blood lymphocytes cultivation were applied.

[Differential approach to planning apparatus-surgical treatment of patients with combined bite maxillofacial anomalies].

A retrospective analysis of treatment of 245 patients with combined bite maxillofacial anomalies is presented. Indications to orthodontic preparation, principles of planning of combined orthodontic and surgical treatment are discussed.

[Effect of vilon on neuroendocrine status and sexual function of old male rats].

The hypogonadal status of hemigonadectomised male rats has been choseh as a model of age-related sexual function decline in animals. The effect of dipeptide Vilon on parameters of sexual function and neuroendocrine status was studied. The results showed that regular introduction of Vilon in a dose of 50 microg per rat activates sexual function in old male rats.

Isolation of Bacillus circulans and Paenibacillus polymyxa strains inhibitory to Campylobacter jejuni and characterization of associated bacteriocins.

We evaluated anti-Campylobacter activity among 365 Bacillus and Paenibacillus isolates from poultry production environments. One novel antagonistic Bacillus circulans and three Paenibacillus polymyxa strains were identified and further studied. Cell-free ammonium sulfate precipitate (crude antimicrobial preparation) was obtained from each candidate culture.

[Role of X-ray cephalometric analysis in planning reconstructive interventions in patients with combined maxillodental and facial abnormalities].

A retrospective analysis of case histories of 110 patients subjected to reconstructive surgery for occlusion abnormalities was carried out. The data indicate that complete correspondence of teleroentgenography to planned treatment was observed in only 34.5% cases; this correspondence was partial in 48.
