Introduction: An evaluation of efficacy of the management of urinary tract infections by using local forms of Estriol in postmenopausal women with type II diabetes and asymptomatic bacteriuria.
Material And Methods: The study was conducted in two stages. The first stage: a prospective cross-sectional study to identify patients with asymptomatic bacteriuria.
We studied prophylactic potential of local use of estriol in respect of urinary infections (UI) in postmenopausal women with asymptomatic bacteriuria (AB) suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). A two-stage trial has been conducted. Stage one (a prospective study) was made to detect AB in DM women with AB.
