Although the Indian Ocean receives a large amount of land-based plastic waste, the studies on pathways of riverine plastic debris are limited to date. Therefore, a particle tracking model that included ocean surface currents, horizontal diffusion, Stokes drift, windage, and beaching/re-drifting processes was developed to reproduce the behavior of riverine plastic debris in the Indian Ocean. The modeled particles were released in the model domain based on riverine plastic debris database.

Introduction: Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative disorder initially characterised by disturbances in gait, balance and posture, with death occurring after several years of progressive physical and cognitive decline. This, along with a low index of suspicion, a high degree of diagnostic uncertainty and no approved treatment options, greatly impacts the lives of patients and caregivers. This research was conducted to (i) gain insight into the clinical and emotional journey of patients with PSP, (ii) assess experiences and perspectives, (iii) understand disease impact and (iv) identify key challenges and unmet needs.

This work reports the formation of a novel adsorbent, prepared by activating bentonite with cinnamic acid, which is highly efficient to remove dyes from wastewater. The adsorption efficiency of the cinnamic acid activated bentonite was compared with unmodified bentonite by removing methyl orange and rhodamine-B from polluted water. The characterization was performed through X-ray diffraction (XRD) Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
