The goal of the current study was to compare the course of relapse of alcohol dependence in patients with and without personality disorders. We studied 68 patients with alcohol dependence in the stage of decompensation and comorbid personality disorder, and 43 patients with lucid alcohol dependence. The patients were studied using a clinical examination and a battery of psychological tests.

Fifty-eight patients with slow progressive schizophrenia combined with alcoholism have been examined. Different variants of affective pathology described determined an alcohol addiction in patients with slow progressive schizophrenia. According to the structure of affective disorders and related types of excessive drinking, 3 groups of patients were identified.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe authors present the results of an experimental study of pharmacokinetics of a new Soviet drug 99 mTc-technephyte for scintigraphy of the liver and spleen. The results of biological distribution of the agent in rat, scintigrams of the liver and spleen in rabbits and dogs have shown a high accumulation of 99 mTc-technephyte in the liver (up to 90%). The agent is prepared within one stage from a kit of reagents and 99m-sodium pertechnetate obtained using a generator.
