Synthetic aperture X-ray ghost imaging (SAXGI) is proposed to achieve megapixel X-ray ghost imaging together with a reduced number of measurements. As the bucket detector array is artificially generated by post-pixel-binning of the images collected with the same detector as that in the reference arm, the unique advantages of SAXGI are not verified experimentally. In this paper, we developed a systematic solution of the experimental implementation of SAXGI, with the automatic interchange of 2× and 20× optical magnification of the detector for object and reference signal acquisition respectively, together with electronic pixel-binning of the detector.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to explore the performance of a predictive model for swallowing-induced breakthrough pain established using a redefined delineation method based on the common occurrence sites of radiation-induced oral mucositis (RIOM) in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).

Methods And Materials: A total of 208 patients with locally advanced NPC were included in the study cohort, and the test cohort consisted of 88 patients. The oral mucosa structure was contoured using oral cavity contour (OCC), mucosal surface contour (MSC), and oral-pharyngeal mucosa (OPM) methods, and relevant dosimetric parameters were collected.

Nowadays, benzimidazole and its derivatives are widely assembled into multifunctional materials with various properties such as mechanochromism, photochromism, thermochromism and electrochromism. Herein, two novel zinc(II) coordination compounds, [Zn(L)Br]·2HO (1) and [Zn(L)Cl]·2HO (2) (L = tetra(1-benzo[]imidazol-2-yl)ethene), have been constructed one-pot facile synthesis from bis(1-benzo[]imidazol-2-yl)methane (L) and zinc(II) salts. The ligand L with a CC double bond was formed by C-C coupling of two sp-C atoms of L in solvothermal synthesis, which provides a new strategy to generate the conjugation system conveniently.

Thallium (Tl), recognized for its high toxicity, is subject to stringent international regulations regarding its permissible concentrations at ultra-trace levels. In this study, titanium dioxide (TiO) was integrated with potassium (K)-rich biochar to create TiO/biochar (TiO/BC) composites for synergistic enhancement in ultra-trace Tl(I) removal, focusing on achieving concentration below the rigorous local threshold of 0.1 μg/L for drinking water.

Androgenic alopecia (AGA), the most prevalent type of progressive hair loss, currently lacks an effective topical treatment regimen. In this study, we synthesized an ionic liquid (IL) to co-solubilize minoxidil (MXD) and finasteride (FIN) and subsequently formulated them into an in situ thermosensitive ionic liquid/cyclodextrin/poloxamer hydrogel (ICPG), termed M + F@ICPG. M + F@ICPG was developed for the transdermal co-delivery of these two drugs, aiming to provide a multipath therapeutic approach for AGA while avoiding the adverse effects commonly associated with oral FIN and topical MXD tincture.
