The planum temporale is a triangular region on the upper surface of the temporal lobe. This area of the brain is important for language processing and shows a left-right asymmetry of size in most brains. Particular interest has been focused on the size and asymmetry of the planum temporale in brains of individuals with developmental dyslexia.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe series consisted of 669 cases of primary malignant melanoma in clinical stage I reported to the Cancer Registry of Norway in the period 1955-1972. The relative prognostic value of various clinical and histological features was evaluated by a regression model proposed by Cox (1972). Sex, localization, level of invasion, cross-sectional profile and ulceration were found to have marked prognostic value.
