Hospitality Venues' Anti-tobacco Legislation Violation in 11 Different Cities in Türkiye.

In Türkiye, anti-tobacco legislation (Law No. 4207 on the Prevention and Control of Harms of Tobacco Products) aims to ensure a "tobacco-free" life for current and future generations. However, there are observations of violations in the hospitality sector.

Tobacco Use Status of Medical Faculty Students and Evaluation of Affecting Factors.

Objective:  The aim of the study is to determine the tobacco use status of first and fifth grade students studying at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in the 2022-2023 academic year and to evaluate the factors affecting tobacco use. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The data of the cross-sectional study were obtained by sending a form prepared in electronic environment to the students after a brief information was given in the unit/classroom where they did their internship, and the students responded on their mobile phones. In research, 539 of 790 students answered the form.

Effect of peer education on knowledge and frequency of smoking among high school students in disadvantaged districts: A quasi-experimental study.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of peer education on changing the knowledge and frequency of smoking of high school students.

Methods: The quasi-experimental study was conducted at the Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Turkey, during the 2021-22 academic year, and comprised students of either gender from the 9th to the 11th grade. After baseline assessment, training that blended peer education with the photovoice technique was administered between March 2021 and January 2022.

Aim: Ventricular extrasystole (PVC) is characterized by premature ventricular depolarization and is associated with increased risk of arrhythmias and structural heart disease. This study aimed to investigate the association between the PVC burden and left atrial (LA) function in individuals without known cardiac disease.

Methods: This cross-sectional and observational study analyzed 190 patients with stable angina. The QRS-T angle is measured on the 12-lead electrocardiograms at baseline and just after stopping the treadmill stress test in patients undergoing conventional coronary angiography (CAG).
