Purpose: Adherence to dietary guidelines is critical for optimizing health and weight outcomes after metabolic and bariatric surgery, yet many patients have difficulty. The purpose of this study was to identify the types and frequency of post-surgery non-adherent dietary behaviors and to determine pre-surgery predictors of adherence at 1-year post-surgery.
Materials And Methods: We completed a prospective cohort study of 348 adults who underwent sleeve gastrectomy (n = 25) or Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (n = 323) at an academic medical center between 2013 and 2017.
Background: People with alcohol and substance use disorders (SUDs) often have underlying difficulties in regulating emotions. Although dialectical behavioral therapy is effective for SUDs, it is often difficult to access. Self-guided, internet-delivered dialectical behavioral therapy (iDBT) allows for expanded availability, but few studies have rigorously evaluated it in individuals with SUDs.

Previous qualitative work had identified 7 "geosexual archetypes," each with distinct travel patterns for sex and potentially important differences in STI rates. The objective of this article was to explore what could be learned about STI transmission by looking at STI prevention strategies (condom use and preexposure prophylaxis use) and prevalence of STIs among these geosexual archetypes.

For a BPD diagnosis, individuals must present at least five of nine symptoms, resulting in 256 possible symptom combinations; thus, individuals diagnosed with BPD can differ substantially. Specific symptoms of BPD tend to co-occur, suggesting BPD subgroups.
