Introduction: Sleep-disordered breathing is an important risk factor for neurobehavioral impairment in children. This study was conducted to estimate the prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing in a population of first graders and to determine the association between behavior problems, body mass index (BMI) and snoring.

Material And Methods: A population-based, cross-sectional study was conducted using a parent-reported questionnaire.

Cochlear implant and congenital cholesteatoma.

Background: The occurence of cholesteatoma and cochlear implant is rare. Secondary cholesteatomas may develop as a result of cochlear implant surgery. Primarily acquired cholesteatoma is not typically associated with congenital sensorineural hearing loss or cochlear implant in children.

Background: The main goal of the study was the analysis of somatostatin receptor (SSTR) expression on juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma (JNA) cells and a subsequent analysis of the utility of SST analog-based scintigraphy in JNA diagnostics.

Methods: Nine JNA cases were analyzed. All tissue samples were analyzed for the expression of SSTRs.
