Purpose: This paper reports a study of electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure of several adult insects: a ladybug, a honey bee worker, a wasp, and a mantis at frequencies ranging from 2.5 to 100 GHz. The purpose was to estimate the specific absorption rate (SAR) in insect tissues, including the brain, in order to predict the possible biological effects caused by EMF energy absorption.

Methods: Cross-sectional, prospective study was conducted, where 1,000 enrolled women aged 30-60 years during one visit underwent conventional Pap smear and Hr-HPV testing (Roche Cobas system). Women with any positive screening results were referred for further evaluation and remaining cells from the Cell Collection Medium vial were used for LBC.
The purpose of this study was to determine the diagnostic value Pap smear test and colposcopy in Georgian National Screening Center, evaluation of efficiency of the excisional treatment and determining the main risk factors for prediction of residual/recurrent disease in patients with high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. We retrospectively analyzed 613 patients, who underwent excisional treatment of the cervix (LEEP). Follow-up was performed by Pap smear test, colposcopy and histamorphological examinations.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOur results showed, that EPR method using DMPO spin-trapping is characterized with high sensitivity, which enables to define anti oxidative activity of very small concentration of major antioxidants in Georgian and foreign red and white wines and in red wine. It was concluded, that red as well as white wines have very high anti oxidative activities. Herewith it has to be mentioned, that anti oxidative activity of red wine does not always correlate with the total concentration of phenol in it and mostly depends on the concentration of different major antioxidants.
