Background: The effect of the long-term persistently elevated air pollutants, often referred to as air pollution waves, on sexual function has not been sufficiently addressed.
Methods: This nationwide cross-sectional study involved 12,157 participants, with 5496 females and 5039 males. PM waves were characterized by daily average PM concentrations surpassing Grade II thresholds of China's ambient air quality standards (PM > 75 μg/m, PM > 150 μg/m) for three or more consecutive days (3-8 days).

Post-Translational Modifications (PTMs) are covalent changes to amino acids that occur after protein synthesis, including covalent modifications on side chains and peptide backbones. Many PTMs profoundly impact cellular and molecular functions and structures, and their significance extends to evolutionary studies as well. In light of these implications, we have explored how artificial intelligence (AI) can be utilized in researching PTMs.

Methods: In this study, we identified AP2/ERF genes in sweet orange via bioinformatics and performed a combined transcription‒metabolism analysis, which revealed for the first time the integrated molecular mechanism of salt stress regulation in sweet orange.
Key Results: A total of 131 sweet orange AP2/ERF genes were identified and categorized into five groups.
Norcantharidin (NCTD), an antitumor agent with an increased leukocyte function, has been used for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in clinical. However, the clinical application of NCTD is limited due to its inadequate hydrophilicity and lipophilicity, short half-life (t), as well as adverse effects such as vascular irritation, cardiotoxicity, and nephrotoxicity. Herein, a lactoferrin (Lf) and DSPE-mPEG functionalized liposomes loaded with norcantharidic acid (NCA), an active metabolite of NCTD, was constructed for the targeted therapy of HCC.
