[Algimaf treatment of burns].

Application of algimaf, a new polymeric dressing, in local therapy of burn wounds is conducive to spontaneous epithelization of surface burns and favors effective autodermoplasty in thermal burns. Cytologic studies of the wound discharge and examination of the burn wound microflora qualitative and quantitative composition indicate a high therapeutic efficacy of the dressing.

[Use of the ATU-3 aerotherapeutic equipment].

Constructive features of a newer Soviet aerotherapeutic plant ATU-3 are considered. Original noise silence system in the air preparation plant item permits to achieve a high-rate vibroacoustic comfort. Individual stand control electron system makes it possible to keep up the parameters of bacterial-free medium in automated operation.

[Comparative biochemical and electron microscopic research on the membrane-damaging action of a chemical carcinogen on the endoplasmic reticulum in vivo and in vitro].

The results of a comparative biochemical and electron-microscopic study of membrane-injuring effect of N-nitrosodimethylamine--a chemical carcinogen widespread in the environment are reviewed. It has been established that in vivo and in vitro membrane-injuring effect of nitrosodimethylamine is characterized by reduced activity of membrane-bound enzymes of endoplasmic reticulum (UDP-glucuronyltransferase and glucose-6-phosphatase) accompanied by alterations in functional morphology of cells and intracellular structure.
