Modern radial head prostheses have recently become more common in the treatment of comminuted radial head fractures. The goal of this study was to evaluate how well the EVOLVE modular metallic radial head implant prosthetic restores the functional range of motion and stability of the elbow. 30 patients with comminuted radial head fractures received an arthroplasty with an EVOLVE prosthesis in our institution.

Surgical treatment aims at reducing the fracture and restoring the anatomical joint surface condition, as well as neutralizing the strain inhibiting fracture healing. The XS nail® (Intercus GmbH, Bad Blankenberg, Germany), an intramedullary implant exerting compression across the entire fracture surface, unlike plates, leaves a minimal extra-cortical profile, and can be secured with threaded locking wires, thereby retaining the anatomical reduction without displacement or steps within the articular surface, which was often found in tension band wiring.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of "ultra-early" (<4 h) versus "early" (4-24 h) time from injury to surgery in terms of the likelihood of neurologic recovery.
Methods: The effect of surgery on neurological recovery was investigated by comparing the assessed initial and final values of the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) Impairment Scale (AIS).
Ankylosauria is a diverse clade of armoured dinosaurs whose members were important constituents of many Cretaceous faunas. Phylogenetic analyses imply that the clade diverged from its sister taxon, Stegosauria, during the late Early Jurassic, but the fossil records of both clades are sparse until the Late Jurassic (~150 million years ago). Moreover, Ankylosauria is almost entirely restricted to former Laurasian continents, with only a single valid Gondwanan taxon.

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY Treatment of patella fractures has always been difficult; especially in older patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the XS nail in the treatment of patella fractures. MATERIAL AND METHODS 49 fractures could be registered and reevaluated with a standardized questionnaire.
