Context: Sarcopenia is a disease characterized by low muscle mass and function that places individuals at greater risk of disability, loss of independence, and death. Current therapies include addressing underlying performance issues, resistance training, and/or nutritional strategies. However, these approaches have significant limitations, and chronic inflammation associated with sarcopenia may blunt the anabolic response to exercise and nutrition.

Objectives: To investigate the effect of cultured calculus bovis (ICCB) on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury (CIRI) and its mechanism.
Methods: The CIRI animal model and cell model were induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) in Sprague Dawley rats and oxygen glucose deprivation/reperfusion (OGD/R) in BV2 cells, respectively. The CIRI of rat model was evaluated using modified neurological severity score (mNSS), brain water content, and cerebral infarction volume after 1.
The light-modulated isomerization and aggregation behavior of ionic liquids (ILs) in aqueous solutions holds fundamental and technological significance. Although several azobenzene-based photoresponsive ILs have been synthesized, there is still a lack of understanding regarding the aggregation mechanism, regularity of the alkyl chain length, and the position of the azobenzene (cis- and trans-) in these photoresponsive ILs. To elucidate the structure-property relationship of photoresponsive ILs, four types of azobenzene groups photosensitive ILs ([AzoCDMEA]Br, n = 2,4,6,10) in both trans- and cis- configurations were investigated by density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the clinical outcomes and prognostic factors in BP patients.
Methods: This retrospective study was performed between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2023 in Shandong Province, China.
Objective: To invent a novel method for selective fetal reduction in monochorionic (MC) twin using cool-tip radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and analysis the perinatal outcome.
Material And Methods: Complicated MC twins including twin-to twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), selective fetal growth restriction (sFGR) and twin reverse arterial perfusion sequence (TRAP) were enrolled from 2020 to 2024. All cases were indicated for selective fetal reduction due to expected poor outcome.
