This report emphasizes the fact that the patients operated show a bigger motivation in facing the problem of erectile deficit; this motivation lacks in patients treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonotherapy. The results are anyway very interesting because the pharmacology prosthesis is generally well accepted and tolerated; very rare are the complications.

The average spermatozoa concentration in the ejaculate fell progressive even if sharply in the last 50 years. The azoospermia, described as the complete spermatozoa absence in the sperm, has a variable incidence between 10 and 20% in the clinical picture of the male infertility. The authors outline an etiological classification of the azoospermia and analyse the epidemiological and etiological aspects of the obstructive azoospermia.

The authors report on their experience about diagnosis and therapies concerning cases of impotentia erigendi on account of urological operations in the small pelvis in order to extirpate tumours (radical prostatectomy, total cystectomy). The oncological effectiveness of the nerve-sparing technique is pointed out. The therapeutic diagnostic level is shown for this type of iatrogenic impotence and the various therapeutic possibilities are pointed out in relation to the wishes of the patient and to his life expectancies.
