Design: Randomized, double-blind trial.
Setting: Tertiary referral hospital.
Patients with chronic ureteral obstruction (CUO) are traditionally managed with polymer stents/nephrostomy. However, these are prone to failure and require regular exchange. We present the case of a 59-year-old man with penile ring entrapment secondary to the placement of 14 metallic rings for sexual pleasure. We recommend involvement of the fire emergency service if local equipment is inadequate for urgent penile ring removal.
