Background: Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a multi-systemic illness that can present with cardiac complications. This report describes the preliminary findings of cardiac manifestations seen in patients managed in three centres in Lagos, Nigeria.

Methods: Ten patients, part of an ongoing study of patients admitted in three centres in Lagos, Nigeria, with COVID-19 diagnosed with reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) or serology were retrospectively studied for cardiac manifestations.

Pericatheter urethrogram (PUG) has been found to be a useful assessment tool after endoscopic urethral realignment or open urethroplasty prior to removal of the urethral catheter. Very little is known in the English literatures of the procedure of PUG in the evaluation of the urethra post-operatively. We aim to describe our technique of PUG and its usefulness in the evaluation of the urethra.

Introduction: Fetus-in-fetu (FIF) is a pathological condition in which the malformed foetus is found in the body of its twin. We report this rare case of a 3-month-old female baby whose diagnostic work-up suggested a mesenteric cyst but the mass at surgery was a FIF.

Discussion: Although current imaging modalities like computerized Tomography and magnetic resonance imaging have a higher Sensitivity for accurate delineation of tissues, cheaper imaging alternatives like plain abdomen and ultrasonography still have a place in the preoperative work-up of FIF.

Posterior urethral valve (PUV) obstruction is the most common cause of bladder outlet obstruction in boys. Currently, the diagnosis of PUV is commonly made prenatally. In our environment, however, prenatal diagnosis is rare and the diagnosis is usually made postnatally from the clinical and radiological features.
