[Evaluation of stereotactic core biopsies of the breast with the 10-gauge Vacora® biopsy device: a review of 541 procedures].

Purpose: To evaluate stereotactic core biopsies of the breast with the 10-gauge Vacora(®) biopsy device.

Patients And Methods: Retrospective study of 541 procedures in 502 patients performed between 2007 and 2009.

Results: The procedure failed in 2% of cases, non-complicated hematomas occurred in 5% of cases and unsightly scars in two cases.
