Knowledge and Attitudes Regarding Human Papillomavirus Vaccination Among Future Healthcare Workers in Serbia.

Background/objectives: Adequate knowledge and correct attitudes about the HPV vaccine influence awareness of the importance of preventing HPV-related diseases, which is particularly important for future healthcare professionals. We aim to examine the share of correct answers and the prevalence of different attitudes about the HPV vaccine among active regular students of the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from 1 to 30 November 2023 using a structured survey questionnaire.

Sales of Veterinary Antibiotics in Serbia: Identification of Problem Areas Using Standardized Metrics.

One Health, as a multi-disciplinary approach, considers animal, human, and environmental health. Serbia continuously records high rates of antimicrobial resistance, with a knowledge gap on practices regarding veterinary antibiotic use, as no standardized data regarding veterinary consumption of antibiotics that would allow for temporal or spatial comparison are available in Serbia. This study aimed to describe the sales of veterinary antibiotics in Serbia.

Diabetes management, dietary supplements use and the effect of coronavirus pandemic on diabetes patients in Serbia: a cross-sectional study.

Objectives: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a significant public health challenge in Serbia, mirroring the situation in other European middle-income countries. The aims of this study were to examine the disease-related characteristics and management of diabetes, as well as the prevalence of use of dietary supplements (DS) among diabetes patients in Serbia, and to analyze the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on DM patients in Serbia.

Methods: The study was carried out as an online, observational, cross-sectional study involving 422 adult diabetes type 1 (DM1) and type 2 (DM2) patients residing in Serbia.

Tapentadol Immediate Release (IR) versus Morphine Hydrochloride for Postoperative Analgesia of Patients Undergoing Total Abdominal Hysterectomy-A Prospective Cohort Study.

: This study aimed to examine the efficacy of tapentadol immediate release (IR) and morphine hydrochloride in the treatment of acute postoperative pain after total abdominal hysterectomy, as well as to examine the frequency of opioid-related side effects in observed patients. : The prospective observational study was conducted over five months, and it included a total number of 100 patients. The two cohorts had different types of postoperative analgesia, and the effects were observed for 24 h postoperatively, by following the pain scores on NRS (Numerical Pain Scale), contentment with analgesia, and opioid-related side effects.
