Validation of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Assisted Flow Cytometry Analysis for Immunological Disorders.

Flow cytometry is a vital diagnostic tool for hematologic and immunologic disorders, but manual analysis is prone to variation and time-consuming. Over the last decade, artificial intelligence (AI) has advanced significantly. In this study, we developed and validated an AI-assisted flow cytometry workflow using 379 clinical cases from 2021, employing a 3-tube, 10-color flow panel with 21 antibodies for primary immunodeficiency diseases and related immunological disorders.

Introduction: We performed Thyroseq v2 molecular testing on indeterminate thyroid nodules and evaluated whether they underwent a management change from the standard of thyroid lobectomy.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of all indeterminate thyroid nodules that underwent Thyroseq v2 molecular testing from 2014 to 2019 at a large academic center. Pathology was reviewed by thyroid cytopathologists.

Resident-Driven Dysphagia Screening Protocol for Expedited Antithrombotic Delivery in Acute Ischemic Stroke.

Background: We implemented a multi-disciplinary process improvement intervention at our Comprehensive Stroke Center with speech/language pathologists to expedite oral medication delivery in stroke patients. Following a failed nursing dysphagia screen, trained neurology physicians screened dysphagia further to approve use of oral medications. We analyzed the safety and efficacy of this intervention.
