[Memory and visuo-spatial orientation disorders in children with contusions and compression of the brain in the acute period of the injury].

Characteristics of disorders of aural and speech memory and visual-spatial orientation were studied in 70 children aged 5-14 years at the acute period of brain injuries and compressions. Neuropsychic examination was conducted according to Luria's scheme including the technique of memory evaluation and test to evaluate spatial orientation. Disorders of memory and spatial orientation were correlated with the severity of the head trauma and the predominant localization of the brain injury.

[Psychological structure of posttraumatic syndromes in children suffering cerebral concussions].

Clinical-psychologic examination of 132 pupils aged 7-14 years with a history of brain concussion disclosed the following clinical syndromes: cerebrasthenia in 55 children (41.7%), hypertensive-hydrocephalus syndrome in 44 (33.3%), epileptiform syndrome in 8 children (6%); 25 children (19%) presented a state of clinical compensation.
