Case report: Resolution of VIPoma-related symptoms with peptide receptor radionuclide therapy.

Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is used for the management of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) not responsive to somatostatin analogs. In this case series, we report two patients with pancreatic vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP)-secreting NETs (VIPomas) not responsive to any other therapies who achieved symptomatic control and a significant decrease in serum VIP levels with PRRT during their hospital stay. Two patients with VIPomas were admitted to the hospital with multiple prior hospital admissions after going through multiple lines of therapy.

Jaffe-Campanacci Syndrome: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Jaffe-Campanacci syndrome (JCS) is a rare disorder characterized by multiple non-ossifying fibromas (NOFs), café-au-lait spots, and other features such as mental retardation and cryptorchidism. It is often clinically and genetically similar to neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), complicating diagnosis. This report presents a 17-year-old male with right knee pain, café-au-lait spots, and axillary freckling.

Infantile Aggressive Aneurysmal Bone Cyst of the Proximal Femur: A Rare Clinical Presentation.

Aneurysmal bone cysts (ABCs) are aggressive, osteolytic lesions usually seen in childhood and young adulthood. The patient's age, location, and behavior of the lesion in the bone may cause patients to present with different clinical findings. Appropriate treatment of these rare, aggressive bone lesions is essential for recurrence.

Evaluation of the Diagnostic Accuracy of Percutaneous Core Needle Biopsy in Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors.

Purpose Of The Study: Open (incisional) biopsies have long been accepted as the gold standard in diagnosing bone and soft tissue tumors. However, the main disadvantage of this method is that it can lead to increased contamination, hematoma, infection, and pathological fracture. Compared to open biopsies, percutaneous core needle biopsies are less invasive, do not require hospitalization, have low costs and low complication rates, and there is no need for wound healing in cases that require radiotherapy.

Radiological Diagnosis and Advances in Imaging of Vertebral Compression Fractures.

Vertebral compression fractures (VCFs) affect 1.4 million patients every year, especially among the globally aging population, leading to increased morbidity and mortality. Often characterized with symptoms of sudden onset back pain, decreased vertebral height, progressive kyphosis, and limited mobility, VCFs can significantly impact a patient's quality of life and are a significant public health concern.
