Service Needs of Parent Caregivers of Adolescents and Young Adults with Incurable Cancer: A Scoping Review.

Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) oncology is an internationally recognized established subspecialty in cancer care. Dedicated programs tailored to local environments endeavor to address unique medical, psychological, cognitive, and social needs that historically, health services have been challenged to meet. In recent years there has been a growing appreciation of the challenges facing AYA with incurable cancer and their parent caregivers.

An Interdisciplinary Partnership Approach to Improving the Digital Literacy Skills of Nursing Students to Become Digitally Fluent, Work-Ready Graduates.

Digital transformation and the development of a digitally fluent nursing workforce are necessary for engagement with digital technologies in healthcare settings. For this purpose, educators aim to develop workforce-ready graduates equipped with disciplinary knowledge, expertise, and digital capabilities supportive of further professional development. Having identified a subset of nursing students with low levels of digital literacy, the nursing faculty engaged with library services and the academic skills unit to develop and embed a sustainable Nursing Digital Literacy Module in the graduate entry to practice nursing program.

Effect of Cucumis sativus on Dysfunctional 3T3-L1 Adipocytes.

Obesity is caused by lipid accumulation in adipose tissues inducing adipocyte dysfunction, characterized by insulin resistance, increased lipolysis, oxidative stress, and inflammation, leading to increased levels of adipokines. Herein the capacity of the subfractions (SFs) SF1, SF2, and SF3 from the Cucumis sativus aqueous fraction and their combinations (M) to control adipocyte dysfunction in vitro, in 3T3-L1 adipocytes was studied. Adipocytes, previously treated with dexamethasone or IL-1 to induce dysfunction, were incubated with different concentrations of the subfractions for 24 h.
