Patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder are presumed to be at higher risk of sleep disorders due to the potential interference that persistent thoughts and compulsions may exert on sleep. Although there are studies on sleep findings in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, there are few systematic reviews on the presence of sleep disorders in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder for adults and children. Preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were followed to perform a comprehensive search of PubMed and Web of Science using the MeSH terms "obsessive-compulsive disorder" and "sleep wake disorders".
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjectives: To summarize the published evidence in the literature on the use of intravenous immunoglobulin in gastrointestinal tract involvement in systemic sclerosis patients and report the experience of our department.
Methods: A systematic literature review was performed; and a literature search was conducted in MEDLINE and Embase until 1/5/2024, using the participants, intervention, comparator and outcomes framework. Only full-text articles involving systemic sclerosis adults, submitted to intravenous immunoglobulin (at least one administration) to treat primary gastrointestinal tract manifestations.
Background: The EULAR recommendations for the treatment of systemic sclerosis (SSc) were updated in 2017, informed by a systematic literature review (SLR) completed in 2014.
Objectives: The aim of this new SLR was to provide the most up-to-date literature to underpin contemporary EULAR recommendations for the management of SSc.
Methods: 30 searches for 30 interventions (including several outcomes/clinical questions), and 1 dedicated search (with several interventions) for calcinosis were prioritised by the task force.
