High prevalence of soil-transmitted helminths among primary students in Ha Giang, Vietnam: A descriptive cross-sectional study.

Despite improvements in environmental sanitation and healthcare, the infection rate of soil-transmitted helminths (STHs) remains high in low socioeconomic regions of developing countries including Vietnam. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and intensity of STH infections among primary school children in Meo Vac, Ha Giang: a poor mountainous province in Vietnam. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from October to November 2023, involving 400 participants.

Health-related Quality of Life Among Comorbidity Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension.

Background: Evaluating the Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) in patients with hypertension and diabetes is vital for improving treatment adherence and outcomes.

Objective: This study assessed HRQoL and its influencing factors among patients with both type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension at Can Tho Hospital, Vietnam.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed on 310 outpatients at the polyclinic, using the Short Form-36 Health Survey (SF-36) between July 2021 and July 2022.

Lignin nano/micro-particles from agricultural biomasses: Developing direct precipitation for integrated biorefinery.

The state-of-the-art, simple and scalable methods for lignin micro-/nano-particles recovery from agricultural biomasses were evaluated in this review. Being non-wood biomasses, these materials can be easily fibrillated, supporting the usage of mild soda or organic solvent pretreatment. Different approaches in particle recovery were compared to conclude that the bottom-up approach facilitates smaller particles towards the nano-size range whereas mechanical treatment can act as a supporting method to increase uniformity and reduce particle sizes after bottom-up precipitation.

A study on tumor necrosis factor-α single nucleotide polymorphisms and psoriasis vulgaris in Vietnam.

This study aims to evaluate the association between tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-α) single nucleotide polymorphisms and psoriasis vulgaris. This cross-sectional study involved 140 Vietnamese patients of Kinh ethnicity diagnosed with psoriasis vulgaris. The diagnosis of psoriasis vulgaris was based on clinical signs and symptoms.
