The uterine microbiota has been the subject of increasing study, but its interaction with the local immune system remains unclear. Successful embryo implantation relies on endometrial receptivity, which is pivotal for immunological tolerance to fetal antigens and precise regulation of inflammatory mediators. Emerging data suggest a dynamic interplay between endometrial microflora and the immune system, making dysbiosis a potential determinant of pregnancy outcomes.

Unlabelled: Obstetrician-gynecologists in a team with neonatologists contributed to saving of many children with extremely low birth weight /ELBW/, increasing many times SC frequency, considering it to be a sparing method for successful delivery, favorably influencing the outcome for the newborn. Many authors put emphasis on the better results however others point out reasons for a certain level of skepticism, assuming that survivability should not be the only criteria. Thus our objective was to find out the role of the abdominal delivery on the favorable outcome for ELBW newborn babies.
