Testosterone signaling mediates diseases such as androgenetic alopecia and prostate cancer and is controlled by the activation of the androgen receptor (AR) and nuclear translocation of the ligand-receptor complex. This study established an immortalized dermal papilla cell line that stably expresses the AR labeled with a monomeric green fluorescence marker. The cells expressed the histone H2B protein as visualized using a red fluorescence marker, enabling the Detection of nuclear translocation under live cell conditions using image analysis.

Background: Artificial intelligence (AI) technology was introduced in medical data area and applied disease prediction models. This study aimed to establish an AI model for predicting lymph node metastasis based on simple medical examinations in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 988 patients with NSCLC who underwent radical pulmonary resection with mediastinal lymph node dissection between January 2011 and October 2022.

Background: Coughing and other distress during bronchoscopy are undesirable for both patients and bronchoscopists. The efficacy of local anesthetics administered via aerosol sprays in the airways has been documented; however, the optimal administration method remains unclear. Furthermore, the efficacy of continuous salivary aspiration in reducing cough and other distress has not yet been evaluated.

Establishing a sustainable life-support system for space exploration is a formidable challenge due to the vast distances, high costs, and environmental differences from Earth. Building upon the lessons from the Biosphere 2 experiment, we introduce the novel "Ecosphere" and "Biosealed" systems, self-sustaining ecosystems within customizable, enclosed containers. These systems incorporate terrestrial ecosystems and groundwater layers, offering a potential model for transplanting Earth-like biomes to extraterrestrial environments.

Thyroid transcription factor 1 (TTF-1) is primarily expressed in lung and thyroid cancers, but it has also been observed in other cancers. A 60-year-old woman presented with worsening dyspnea, pleural effusion, lung metastases, a right ovarian tumor, and para-aortic intra-abdominal lymph node metastasis. Biopsies from the pleural dissemination revealed TTF-1-positive adenocarcinomas.
