Physician Communication Behaviors on Patient Satisfaction in Primary Care Medical Settings in Bangladesh.

Objectives: This study aims at exploring the effects of physicians' communication behaviors on patients' satisfaction in primary care medical consultations in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The study used a quantitative research approach designed with a cross-sectional survey.

Methods: Data were collected using post-consultation and facilitator administered questionnaire from the patients who visited the physician for medical consultation in different hospitals and clinics in Chattogram city.

Primary Tubercular Chorioretinitis Without a Pulmonary Focus: A Case Report.

Ocular tuberculosis (TB) can affect various eye structures and may manifest independently of systemic TB. Typically, it arises from hematogenous dissemination from a primary focus; however, in exceptional instances, it may originate as a primary infection after epithelial injury. Diagnosing TB in an extrapulmonary site presents a significant clinical challenge.

Postoperative Outcome of Fistulotomy with Marsupialization in the Surgical Management of Simple Anal Fistula Comparison between Fistulotomy-layopen Procedures.

Assess the wound healing time and early post-operative outcome of fistulotomy with marsupialization, as a surgical treatment of simple fistula-in-ano. This interventional study was performed at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Bangladesh from July 2017 to June 2018. Total 30 cases of simple anal fistula were selected according to inclusion criteria.

Short Term Outcome of Laparoscopic Anterior Resection for Rectal Carcinoma.

Colorectal cancer is the second most common malignancy in the western countries and the rectum is the most frequent site involved. Carcinoma in the rectosigmoid junction, upper and middle 3rd of the rectum is now successfully managed by laparoscopic AR and postoperative morbidities are less and recovery is uneventful. The advantages of laparoscopic surgery are smaller incisions, shorter recovery time and less wound related complications.

Listening and Speech Development among under 6 Years Pre-Lingual Deaf Children following Cochlear Implantation in Selected Tertiary Hospitals in Dhaka.

Children with severe to profound hearing disability got a drastic change in their lives by embracing cochlear implant. This study is done to compare the outcome of cochlear implant in listening using Category of Auditory Performance (CAP) and in speech development using Speech Intelligibility Rating (SIR) score among under 6 year pre-lingual deaf children who underwent cochlear implantation. This cross-sectional study was carried out at the Armed Forces Medical Institute, National Institute of ENT and ENT outpatient department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University from October 2021 to September 2022.
