This literature review focuses on the normal adrenal gland anatomy and typical imaging features necessary to evaluate benign and malignant lesions. In particular, adenoma, pheochromocytoma, metastases and adrenocortical carcinoma were discussed as some of the most common lesions. Using intravital microscopy we investigated the relation between the metastatic potential of colon carcinoma cells and their adhesive and invasive behavior during early steps of metastasis within microvasculatures of rat liver, lung, intestine, skin, muscle, spleen, and kidney in vivo. Using the Keldysh formalism in the self-consistent Born approximation, we identify fingerprints of the magnetic polaron state formed by hybridization of electronic and magnon states. Because of its low decoherence rate, we find coherent transport signals.
