Disturbances on coral reefs-which are increasing in intensity and frequency-generate material legacies. These are commonly in the form of rubble beds, which depend on rubble stability and/or binding to facilitate coral recruitment and recovery. Yet, our understanding of rubble stability and binding dynamics across environmental gradients is limited.

Pursuing Scholarship: Creating Effective Conference Submissions.

Medical educators are expected to disseminate peer-reviewed scholarly work for academic promotion and tenure. However, developing submissions for presentations at national meetings can be confusing and sometimes overwhelming. Awareness and use of some best practices can demystify the process and maximize opportunities for acceptance for a variety of potential submission categories.

Availability of comprehensive emergency obstetric and neonatal care in developing regions in Ethiopia: lessons learned from the USAID transform health activity.

Background: In collaboration with its partners, the Ethiopian government has been implementing standard Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care Services (CEmONC) since 2010. However, limited studies documented the lessons learned from such programs on the availability of CEmONC signal functions. This study investigated the availability of CEmONC signal functions and described lessons learned from Transform Health support in Developing Regional State in Ethiopia.

Faculty Competencies: An Exploration of Feasibility and Acceptance.

Introduction: A uniform method of iterative professional development for medical educators does not exist in the United States graduate medical education system. The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Faculty Competencies Special Project Team, a subgroup of the Faculty Development Collaborative, sought to create a competency-based assessment framework for medical educators.
